Kind Roots Catering
We get our bagels delivered FRESH by Roanoke Bagel Company on Friday mornings, usually between 11am-12pm. Place custom orders by Wednesday afternoon (5pm at the latest) to pick up fresh bagels each Friday. Choose from the flavors below. Bialys also available. Bulk pricing applies only to pre-orders.

SMALL-SCALE EVENT - For smaller catering events like bag lunches, sandwich platters, small family-dinners, and pot-luck take-outs. 10-20 people; 3 DAY MINIMUM
MEDIUM-SCALE EVENT - For medium-sized events like birthdays, anniversaries, and celebrations that do not require full services. 20-75 people; 15 DAY MINIMUM. FULL SERVICE REQUIRES A 30 DAY MINIMUM.
LARGE-SCALE EVENTS - For large events like wedding receptions that require full service and custom menus. 75+ people; 120 DAY MINIMUM. CUSTOM MENUES THAT INVOLVE TASTING SESSIONS, REQUIRE A 180 DAY MINIMUM.

Guests – Client will pay for all guests attending but not less than the number of guests guaranteed in the Arrangement. Additional guests and menu changes must be made at least three (3) days prior to the event.
Event Duration - Caterer services will not extend beyond agreed times. Caterer reserves the right to make reasonable additional charges for events running beyond the service time agreed upon.
Retainer Fee – (Full Service & Large Scale Events Only) Client will pay a non-refundable retainer fee of $300 upon accepting terms of catering contract.
Deposit – (Small Scale Events) No Deposit Required. (Medium Scale Events) A deposit of 25% of the estimate is required. (Large Scale Events) A deposit of 50% of estimate is required. Client will pay deposit upon accepting terms of the catering contract.
Rights of Termination – (Small Scale Events) In the event the client terminates contract or otherwise breaches this agreement within the three (3) day minimum, caterer has the right to request 25% of total as compensation for food and labor costs. (Medium Scale Events) In the event the client terminates contract or otherwise breaches this agreement before ten (10) days, caterer shall return full deposit; before seven (7) days 50%, caterer shall retain 50% of deposit; after seven (7) days, caterer shall retain 100% of deposit. (Large Scale Events) In the event client terminates contract or otherwise breaches this agreement before ninety (90) days of the event, caterer shall return the full deposit; before sixty (60) days of the event, caterer shall retain the 50% deposit and/or any reasonable out-of-pocket expenses incurred by caterer; after sixty (60) days, caterer shall retain 100% of deposit.
Final Payment – (Small Scale Events) The final balance due will be paid in cash, check, or credit card within five (5) days of the start time of the event. (Medium Scale Events) The final balance will be paid seven (7) days prior to event. (Large Scale Events) The final balance will be paid no later than fourteen (14) days prior to the event. Any final adjustments made to balance during the event, will be paid within five (5) days of event.
Delinquent Accounts - Caterer reserves the right to assess finance charges on any amount unpaid when due at an interest rate of 1 ½% per month.
Breach of Contract - In the unlikely event that the caterer must seek legal remedies to complete execution of this contract, the client agrees to pay all reasonable attorney fees.
Additional Food – Caterer is not responsible for any additional food or beverage items provided by client.
Food Substitutions - Caterer reserves the right to substitute items that become unavailable in the open market or that exceeds reasonable market costs. Caterer will notify client for approval if time allows.
Damages - Caterer will be liable for any damage to property entrusted to its employees, for the loss of any property by theft or otherwise. Client assumes responsibility for any damages to any property rented to client that may be caused by clients, guests, or invitees.
Unforeseen Circumstances - Caterer shall have no responsibility or liability for failure to supply any services when prevented from doing so by weather, accidents, or any cause beyond Caterer's control, or by orders of any governmental authority, except to return said retainer fee within sixty (60) days.
